Cooperation between LCG and Farminform
Since early 2024, Farminform and the National Coordination Center for Medicines (LCG) have been working closely together.
Farminform supports the LCG’s activities in the field of medicine shortages in Dutch hospitals. With the Farminform data, which provide detailed insight into Dutch drug use, Farminform enables the LCG to perform its work more efficiently.
Farminform makes some of the data available on a monthly basis. For acute drug shortages, Farminform provides a report within 24 hours of request, appropriate to the urgency.
In this way, Farminform contributes to reducing the discomfort caused by shortages for patient and physician.
A good example of cooperation between different organizations on a socially relevant issue in order to advance healthcare together.
