‘MPC/PET workshop

This morning @Rosemanlabs gave a very interesting workshop on PET (Privacy Enhancing Technologies) and MPC (Multi Party Computation) to a number of pharmaceutical companies belonging to the Farminform collective and some employees of @Farminform.

It was good to be presented with the different PETs, each with their own pros and cons. This gave a clear picture of the recent developments in the field of privacy techniques and provided clarity on which PET techniques are suitable for which type of application.

A deep dive was then planned for the PET technique MPC. Questions that were answered include: How does the technique work, what are relevant issues for MPC and what applications are there in practice. There are also many examples for healthcare institutions, industry organizations and the pharmaceutical industry where MPC technology can help to bring data together in a secure way to answer healthcare questions.

A very interesting and interactive session in which a variety of questions were answered and there was food for thought.

@Freya_de_Mink, thank you for the substantively strong workshop.
